Marriott International group tie up with telangana is set to establish a Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad, partnering with the Telangana government through an MoU. This strategic move involves an investment of Rs 300-400 crore and is expected to create 1,000 jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu announced the project on Tuesday, emphasizing that it will initially start with 500 seats, eventually expanding to 1,000 seats. This initiative aligns with the recent rise to power of the Congress government, which has already signed MoUs worth nearly Rs 50,000 crore, anticipated to materialize soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This development is part of a broader effort to enhance employment opportunities in the state. The Telangana government is also in talks with some other eight to ten other companies, including two major pharma companies . These negotiations could potentially generate 20,000 to 25,000 jobs over the next two years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marriott’s decision to tie up with Telagana & set up a GCC in Hyderabad is not without reason. This, coupled with the state government’s focus on fostering a business-friendly environment, makes Hyderabad an attractive location for global corporations like Marriott.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minister Babu highlighted the government’s commitment to skilling youth in Artificial Intelligence (AI). As part of this commitment, the state is considering establishing a ‘Digital University’ specializing in digital studies. This initiative aims to prepare the workforce for the evolving digital economy and ensure that the youth are equipped with the necessary skills for future job markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
