According to the 2011 census, the total population of Boduppal is 43,692, with 22,255 males and 21,437 females residing in 2,666 households. The <em><strong>Boduppal Municipality<\/strong><\/em>, formed by merging the Boduppal and Chengicherla Gram Panchayats of Rangareddy, was established in 2016. It was upgraded to a Municipal Corporation on July 23, 2019, via G.O. Ms. No. 211. The city covers an area of 20.53 square kilometers and has experienced rapid growth due to its strategic location and developments such as the Pocharam IT Park and the proposed Rail Terminal at Cherlapally.
