Regional Joint Commissioner Cadre Temple was the designation given to the institution by the Revenue Department under G.O.Ms.No: 262, dated 10\/03\/1992. The shrine is one of the well-known Shivate Temples in Telangana State and merits special attention for both its spiritual holiness and architectural magnificence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This temple&#8217;s history is mysterious, but the deity is mentioned in Puranic texts. Lord Raja Rajeshwara, the supreme deity, is known for granting the desires of his followers as the &#8220;Neela Lohitha Siva Lingam.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The two Vaisnava temples in the main temple complex, Sri Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Temple and Sri Seetharama Chandra Swamy Temple are what make this shrine popularly known as &#8220;Dakshina Kasi&#8221; (Southern Banaras) and &#8220;Harihara Kshetram.&#8221; Sri Anantha Padmanabha Swamy is the Kesthra Palaka of this temple, consecrated with pujas and festive rituals [both Shivate &amp; Vaisnavate festivals] and Sreerama Navami is the second major festival in this temple.<br><br>Within the temple&#8217;s grounds is a Dargah that serves as compelling proof of religious tolerance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Sthalapuranam\"><\/span><strong>Sthalapuranam:<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This temple is known as &#8220;Bhaskara Kshethram&#8221; because the Bhavishyothara Purana states that the Sun God [Surya Bhagavan] healed from his infirmity by praying at this shrine. Additionally, Indra, the King of Astadikpalaka, atoned for his sins of Brahmahatya Dosham by fervently adoring Lord Sri Raja Rajeshwara, the shrine&#8217;s presiding deity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Between 750 and 973 AD, Raja Narendra, the grandson of Parikshit, built a temple after being cured of leprosy by bathing in Dharmagundam (Pushkarni). On the other hand, Lemulavatika is the name given to the village in rock-cut inscriptions unearthed here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Literary and Customary Significance:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Tradition links this location to the renowned Telugu poet &#8220;Bheemakavi,&#8221; while more concrete evidence points to the presence of the renowned Kannada poet &#8220;Pampa&#8221; as the court poet of Arikesari II, to whom he dedicated his &#8220;Kannada Bharatha.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Inside Temples in Complex:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The temple is ideally situated on the edge of the Gudicheruvu, a sizable tank. &#8220;Sri Lakshmi Ganapathi,&#8221; Lord Raja Rajeshwara in the form of Neelalohitha Siva Linga, Goddess Sri Raja Rajeshwari Devi, and Nandeeshwara facing the Lord are all depicted in the Garbha-Griha [Mahamandapam].<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Sri Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Temple, Sri Seetharama Chandra Swamy Temple, Sri Anjaneya Sahitha Kasi Visweswara Swamy Temple, Sri Dakshina Murthy Temple, Sreeevalli Devasena Sametha Subramanya Swamy Temple, Sri Bala Tripura Sundari Devi Temple, Sri Someshwaralayam, Sri Uma Maheshwaralayam, Sri Mahisasura Mardhani Temple, Kotilingalu, and Sri Kala Bhairava Swamy Temple are all enclosed by the sanctum sanatorium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pujas and rites are conducted under Smartha Agama in this shrine, however, Pancharathra Agama is followed in Vaisnavate temples situated within temple complexes. The hospital is managed by the Devasthanam Medical Officer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Liberate the Darsanam complex.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Temple offers free prasadam distribution.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Operating Devasthanam buses for the convenience of visiting pilgrims at a modest cost on local routes from Vemulawada to Sircilla and back, covering Korutla and Thippapur Bus Stations [reaching points to Vemulawada] and Agraharam Temple.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Devasthanam pays the Gramme Panchayat Rs. 16.00 Lakhs a year to maintain Vemulawada village, including drinking water and sanitation, even though the people also reside in private homes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Temple_Big_Festivals\"><\/span><strong>Temple Big Festivals<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the most important and well-known festivals in this Devasthanam is Mahasivarathri Jathra. During the Jathra, thousands of pilgrims from all over the State and beyond come to this shrine to make vows to Lord Raja Rajeshwara. The temple would be open twenty-four hours a day during the Jathra. The district collector, who chairs the Mahasivarathri Jathra Coordination Committee, will direct elaborate arrangements for pilgrim convenience. All government departments in the district will actively participate in festival preparations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Mahasivarathri festival will observe two important rituals:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Maha Lingarchana puja will be performed at 6:30 P.M.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Lingodbhavakala Mahanyasa Purvaka Eakadasa Rudrabhisekam ceremony will be conducted at midnight.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Both rituals will be performed meticulously following Vedic Injunctions. On this festival day, the State Government presents Pattu Vastrams to the Presiding god.<br><br>This temple would host the Vaisnavate festival, Sreerama Navarathrotsavams. Sri Seetharama Chandra Swamy Varla Kalyanotsavam &amp; Rathotsavam are celebrated on Navami day in a great style, and thousands of devotees come to this temple to see the festivities.
