Sree Sita Rama Swamy Temple in Bhadrachalam is a Hindu temple of Lord Rama in Telangana, India. This area is called Bhadrachalam , also called as Bhadrachalama temple in simple words and is the site of grand celebrations on Rama’s Navami Day and the wedding anniversary of Lord Rama and his wife Sita. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Bhadrachalam<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The Bhadrachalam temple is closely associated with the life of his 17th-century saintly composer Kancharago Panna, known as Bhaktaramada. Gopanna was the Tahasildar of Bhadrachalam (late 17th century) who used funds from the state treasury to build this temple and is said to have been imprisoned in the dungeons of Golconda. It is said that Lord Rama miraculously gave the money spent by Gopanna to the Sultan, after which Gopanna was released. Gopanna then became Bhadrakala Ramadasa and composed countless songs praising Rama in Telugu. Bhadrachalam and Vijayanagara are places that are said to have close connections with the Ramayana. It is said that Rama, Sita, and Lakshmana lived in Parnasala, 35 km from Bhadrachalam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"SeethaRama<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

As said, Rama crossed the Godavari river on his way to Sri Lanka and rescued Sita near the Bhadrachalam temple on the north bank of the river. According to legend, Bhadra, son of Meru and Menaka, performed penance for Rama here. The local Muslim Kabada tribe also has close ties with this temple. It is believed that when Kabir was denied entry to the temple, the statues of the gods miraculously disappeared and miraculously reappeared when he was allowed entry. After his imprisonment, Golconda king Tanisha,  who was the ruler of the Qutb Shahi kingdom at the time, recognized Rama’s devotion and became a devotee of Rama and took charge of the temple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bhadrachalam Temple attracts different devotees from all over the world. Surrounded by the holy river Godavari flowing towards the south, this hill town is the famous shrine of Bhadrachalam. The name comes from Bhadragiri (Mount Bhadra: blessed child of Meru and Menaka). The history of this shrine tells of its importance during the Ramayana period. The adjacent hill town existed during the ‘Dandakaranya’ period of the Ramayana period, where Rama spent his Vanavasa days with his wife Sita and his brother Lakshmana. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Around the temple are other stories depicting the need for ‘Sri Mahavishnu’ to appear as Rama and return to the coils of death, long after Ramavatara had fulfilled his promise to his Bhakta Bhadra (alias). There were some contradictory combinations. , A sage who continued intense penance to obtain the blessings of Lord Rama. , Bhadra.  Saint Bhadra performed penance on the banks of river Godavari in Dandakana to obtain the blessings of Lord Rama and the blessings of his beloved God. The jubilant sage begged Rama to sit on his head, but Rama, who was looking for his consort Sita, on his way back found Sita and completed the process of punishing the evil Ravana. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He promised Bhakta that his wish would come true. was completed and “Dharma” was established. Therefore, since Rama was unable to fulfill his promise in Ramavatara, the sage was frightened and continued his penance. Then Sri Mahavishnu appeared as Vaikunta Rama and hurried to his devotee Bhadra. He signaled his arrival by blowing the ‘shank’, as well as ‘Gajendra Mokshyam’, accompanied by his consort Sita and his younger brother Lakshmana. Thus, the Rama deities (with four hands) – shank on the right, chakra on the left, and Dhanurvana (bow and arrow in the other hands) – Sita on the knees of Rama and his brothers (from left to right) I came down. Ram). And since the hill on which the gods sat was Achara (immovable, i.e. hill), the main place of Bhadra, this shrine was converted into Bhadrachalam. Pokhara Dhammakka discovered the gods Vaikunta Rama, Lakshmana and Sita.  She lived in Badri Reddy Palem, one mile away from this holy place. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One night, she had a darshan of Rama in a dream and was told by Lord Rama, “Saints and sages worship my incarnate God who is settled in Bhadragiri.” She tracked Rama and performed puja. He asked us to do this and receive salvation. The next morning she began searching for the gods. When she looked into the anthill, she found the gods hiding there. She pours hundreds of pots of Godavari water on the anthill. The anthill slowly melted away, giving way to the hidden gods. Since then, she performed daily poojas, offered ‘naivedhyam’ with fruits that fell from nearby palmyra trees, and built a mandapam with the help of villagers. Construction of Bhakta Ramada and Temple Kanchara Gopanna, popularly known as Bhakta She Ramada, built the Bhadrachararama temple. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Bhadrachalam<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

He was born in Khammamet in the 17th century (1630 AD) in the village of Nelakondapalli in the taluk to Lingana His Murti and Kamamba. As a Tahasildar, he carried out his official duties seriously, continuing to give daily sermons to collect the income owed to the Nawab, sing ‘Ramanama’, and feed the poor of his household. Ramadasa heard the news that the villagers of Palvoncha Paragana were leaving to witness the Jatara at Bhadrachalam. He also visited Bhadrachalam out of curiosity. He discovered that the gods had amazing forms. Ramadas therefore asked the villagers to donate generously for the construction of the temple. The villagers begged him to use the proceeds to build a temple, with the promise of repayment after the harvest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Therefore, Ramada built the temple using Rs 600,000 collected from the land revenue without the  Golconda Nawab’s permission. When the temple was completed, he faced the problem of fixing the ‘Sudarshana Chakra’ at the top of the main temple. Deeply troubled, he fell asleep. That same night, Rama asked him in his dream to take a sacred dip in the  Godavari river. The next morning, Gopanna did so and effortlessly found the sacred Sudarshana Chakra in the river. He suggested that Sudarshana his chakra itself was formed by the divine power of his beloved deity Rama. Immediately after construction, his life of misery began. He was fired for misusing the proceeds for the construction of a temple, sentenced to 12 years in prison and tortured in Golconda Fort. Ramadas, who could no longer bear the dire situation, sang many laudatory and emotional songs popularized by Bhakta Ramadasa’s poems ‘Dasaradhi Satakam’ and ‘Kertanas’ and begged Rama to give him comfort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0Golconda king Tanisha is struck by the devotional spirit of Ramadas when Rama and Lakshmana reveal themselves to be Ramoji and Lakshmoji, the servants of Bhakta Ramadas, in order to repay 600,000 mohurs and free the devotees from captivity. He acknowledged his devotion to Rama. Tanisha gave the voucher to divine-looking people who approached his house late at night. They then kept the voucher under Gopanna’s pillow and locked it. When Tanisha woke up the next morning, he realized that these divine figures were none other than Rama and Lakshmana, and arranged for Gopanna’s release, placing at his feet all the golden mohurs he had received from Gopanna last night. I asked for forgiveness. However, he refused to take back all but two of these mohurs as proof of their sacred significance and these two of his coins can still be seen in the Bhadrachalam temple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
