Following your offline payment, you will receive an immediate receipt with a property tax ID, which you must use for any future tax payments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please keep in mind that if you do not recall or utilize your previously assigned ID, the system may assign you a new one, which will cause a whole new set of complications for you during future tax payments and may even result in punitive The following formula is used to compute home tax:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>House Tax = Annual Value * Tax Rate<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Annual Value = unit area value per square meter multiplied by property area multiplied by age factor multiplied by usage factor multiplied by structure factor multiplied by an occupancy factor<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rate of Tax = Every year,<strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/mcdonline.nic.in\/portal\"> MCD <\/a><\/em><\/strong>releases the tax rates for A-H categories. The relevant tax rate may be found on the MCD Property Tax official website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Where<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The unit area value is the price per square meter ascribed to the property&#8217;s built-up area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Property unit area &#8211; The built-up area is not included in the carpet area per square meter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Age factor \u2013 Newer homes pay a greater tax than older ones. The age factor is dependent on the age of the property, and its value varies from 0.5 to 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Use factor &#8211; Residential properties are taxed at a lower rate than non-residential buildings.
