Shimla Municipal Corporation is one of the oldest municipal corporations in India, established in 1851. This was the first community in Punjab before independence. Currently, the Shimla Municipal Corporation has three powers under him: the House, the House Committee, and the City Commissioner.
The House of Representatives is the legislative branch and is made up of members directly elected by the people. There are many candidates in the House of Representatives with knowledge and experience in local government. The House of Representatives is chaired by the Mayor, and assisted by the Deputy Mayor.
