1. Introduction On Mumbai Metro
The Maharashtra government’s ambitious and expansive infrastructure project is the Mumbai metro. The Mumbai metro will offer smooth, reasonably priced, and all-inclusive connection options to its residents once it is completely operating. The Mumbai metro project is being carried out by the Mumbai Metropolitan Development Authority (MMRDA). On the other hand, Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL) is in charge of Mumbai Metro Line 3 (MML-3), the portion of the Mumbai Metro that is entirely underground.
The Mumbai local rail system was already overloaded when the Maharashtra government began work on the Mumbai metro project in 2006. However, just one line of the Mumbai metro—Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar—is now in service due to factors like delays in land acquisition, environmental clearances, and project approvals.
Some metro routes, such as Metro 2A and Metro Line 7, are almost finished, and safety testing is ongoing. The building of the other Mumbai metro lines is ongoing. The routes, lines, stations, and specifics of the Mumbai metro system will all be covered in this article.
