Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Phase 2 of Mumbai Metro Line 2A and Line 7 on January 19, 2023. Prime Minister Modi boarded the metro from Gundavali station. PM Modi traveled from Gundavali to Mogra and returned on the newly opened Mumbai Metro. According to the notification released, MMRDA has changed the names of three stations on Line 2A and Line 7. The new name of Pahed Eksar metro station will be Simpoli, Varnai metro station will be called Varnai Meeth Chokhi and Pahadi Goregaon station will be called Bangur Nagar.

Maha Mumbai Metro Operations Corporation Limited (MMMOCL) provides annual comprehensive insurance to all passengers traveling on Mumbai Metro 2A and 7.

The policy only protects Mumbai Metro 2A and seven passengers with valid tickets. These passengers must be inside a Mumbai Metro station building, inside a metro train, or anywhere within the station premises, including paid and free areas. People who are in parking lots, parking lots, pedestrian bridges, etc. outside the subway are not covered by insurance.

This insurance covers outpatient treatment up to Rs 10,000 and hospitalization up to Rs 10,000. It also provides up to Rs 400,000 and Rs 500,000 for partial and permanent disability and death, respectively.
